Anacosstia, Washington, D.C.
MLK GATEWAY I & II
A two-phased construction project establishing a major gateway from downtown DC to a revitalized Anacostia neighborhood. Phase I was completed in November 2021 and comprises of 20,000 sqft of offices over 14,000 sqft of retail space. Phase II (~100,000 sqft of mixed-use) opened in April 2024.
The project generated significant local impact, creating jobs for Ward 8 residents, engaging Ward 8 businesses and supporting nearly 250 jobs in the community.

Worcester, MA
HISTORIC MAIN STREET DISTRICT
The acquisition of 526 Main Street (The Historic Ransom F. Taylor Building), 204 Main Street (the Kane Building), and the recent development of Silver Hammer Award Winner The Chatam Lofts, build on Menkiti's growing presence in Worcester. All buildings are located in Worcester's downtown core-enhacing walkability, preserving heritage and introducing new energy into the urban fabric.

The renovations and adaptive re-use of these buildings also showcases Menkti's acumen in financing strategies to make a deal work; utilizing a combination of historic tax credits, and collective funds to make a project come to fruition.

Howard University, Washington, D.C.
BOND BREAD
A transformational mixed-use redevelopment in this historic Bond Bread Factory and WRECO Garage sites adjacent to Howard University, the approved plans envision 60,000 sqft to include 469 residential units, 180-room hotel, 50,100 sqft of retail, and a 20,000 sq ft public courtyard, design as a cultural and communal hub.

This project highlights Menkiti's commitment to preserving buildings of historical signicance and highlighting the importance of preserving neighborhood culture.

SW Waterfront, Washington, D.C.
THE YARDS PARCELS G1 and G2
In partnership with Brookfield Properties, Menkiti is driving innovative, inclusive urban design within this high-impact redevelopment corridor. Located directly adjacent to Nationals Park in the highly coveted Navy Yards neighborhood overlooking the SW Waterfront, this new development will offer sweeping views of the riverfront from its signature amenity spaces, defining a new level of luxury residential living in the District.

When both parcels are complete, there will be 46,450 sqft of retail space along with 667,000 swft of luxury living spaces, demonstrating Menkiti's size, scale and impact in Washington, D.C.

Boston Seaport District, MA
PARCEL D-4
Menkiti Group teamed with The Community Builders to develop a 15-story, 200 unit mixed-income residential tower. The project is designed for workforce housing and will be the Seaports first fully income-restricted residential tower. Project amenities will include 15,000 sq ft for childcare and retail, with sustainable design features like all electric construction and solar panels on the tower roof.

The development reflects Menkiti's strong commitment to community equity; 50% of the team is minority-and-women owned with Massport prioritizing diversity, inclusion and affordability in the projects selection.

Terrytown, LA
ARBOR PLACE APARTMENTS
In April 2025, Bo led a strategic partnership with VPG Construction to acquire Arbor Place Apartments, a 136 unit multi-family proerty near New Orleans. The investment was made through The Menkiti Group’s Obsidian Catalyst Fund I, LP –
a mission-driven real estate investment fund, aimed to provide inclusive real estate opportunities, especially in historically underinvested urban neighborhoods.

The property will maintain 50% of its units as affordable housing, affirming Menkiti's long-term commitment to housing affordability and community stability.
